Indigenous Renaissance

Travel for Good

Walk through the Andes on cobblestones laid by the Incas!  Explore the jungle with native Amazonian tribes!  Help Aymara children develop avant-garde theater!

Challenge your expectations about the indigenous people of South America while supporting one of the most innovative non-profits working in Latin America: Shine A Light.

During the thirteen days of the Indigenous Renaissance tour, we will visit the Uchupiamonas people, who have preserved their land and their culture with an innovative eco-lodge in the upland Amazon rainforest.  We will walk from the heights of the Andes through cloud forest, using an ancient Inca trading route.* And we will see the theater of a group of Aymara children and teenagers in La Paz, then help them as they create a television show based on the stories of their lives.

This is a trip unlike any other.  Do something good with your vacation.
